The product
What exactly is the product you sell?
An elastic bracelet with 8 mm glass beads carrying the evil eye motif and a hamsa charm, in blue, red or black. We sell it as decorative jewellery: the materials, measurements and packaging contents are listed on the home page.
What do the eye and the hamsa mean?
They are motifs from Mediterranean, Balkan and Middle Eastern tradition: the blue bead with an eye (Turkish nazar) and the open palm with five fingers (the hamsa, also known as the Hand of Fatima). In folk tradition they were worn as an amulet or a talisman. We tell the whole story on the home page. It is a description of cultural heritage, not a promise: we sell the bracelet as decorative jewellery.
Does the bracelet actually work?
We do not claim that the bracelet heals, protects or brings luck, money, love or any other outcome — no such effect has been demonstrated and we do not promise one. It is not a medical device and it is not a substitute for a doctor or for any form of professional help. What we do guarantee is the workmanship, the materials, the size, the delivery time and the price.
What exactly is in the parcel?
The bracelet in the colour you chose with the hamsa charm already attached, a gift pouch with a small box, a card describing the symbol, and an invoice with VAT shown, sent by email. Nothing else — no "activation" instructions and no extra services to be charged for later.
What is it made of?
The beads are glass, 8 mm across, with the eye motif cast into the material. The spacers and the hamsa charm are an alloy with an antique silver finish, and the cord is elastic, with no clasp. The full specification is on the home page.
Can it irritate the skin?
What touches your skin is mostly the glass beads. The spacers and the charm are a coated alloy with no free nickel, but anyone with a known metal allergy should still take that into account. If you are unsure, ask us before you order.
Will the bracelet look exactly like the photo?
In the main, yes — the shape, the colour and the charm are the same as in the picture. The beads are glass and strung by hand, so the shade and the position of the eye vary from piece to piece, and the size may differ by up to 1 cm.
Is the bracelet safe for children?
This product is not a toy and contains small parts (the beads), so keep it out of reach of children under three. Never put the bracelet on a child unsupervised.
Ordering and payment
Is this a subscription?
No. Every order is a one-off purchase. We do not remember card details and nothing renews automatically.
How can I pay?
By card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro), with Google Pay or Apple Pay — all through Stripe — or with PayPal. You choose the payment method in step three of the checkout and complete the payment on the secure page of the processor you chose. The price is the same either way. Details on the payment security page.
Do you store my card details?
No. The card number, the CVV and the expiry date never reach our server — they are handled solely by Stripe. If you pay with PayPal we see neither your password nor the details of the card linked to your PayPal account.
Does PayPal Buyer Protection apply to my purchase?
Yes. If you pay with PayPal, PayPal Buyer Protection applies under PayPal's own terms — if the parcel does not arrive or differs significantly from the description, you can open a case directly with PayPal. Our own 30-day money-back guarantee and your statutory right of withdrawal apply regardless. The fastest route is to contact us first at contact@bistero.com — we settle most things the same business day.
How is a refund made if I paid with PayPal?
To the same PayPal account the payment came from, within 14 days of your request at the latest, in full and with no processing fee. If the payment was made with a card linked to PayPal, PayPal passes the amount back to that card.
Can I pay cash on delivery?
Not at the moment. All orders are paid online — by card, Google Pay, Apple Pay or PayPal.
Which currency am I charged in?
You are charged in euros (EUR). If your card is not denominated in euros, your bank may add its own conversion fee.
Will I pay VAT or customs on delivery?
No. The price on the site is final and includes VAT. Your parcel is dispatched from our warehouse inside the European Union, so there is no import procedure, no customs duty and no clearance fee. The courier must not charge you anything extra; if one tries, do not pay and let us know. Details: shipping and delivery.
Do I get an invoice?
Yes. We email the invoice after a successful payment, to the address you entered at checkout.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, as long as the parcel has not been handed to the courier — email us and we refund the full amount. After dispatch, the refund procedure applies.
Shipping
How long does delivery take?
Processing takes 1–2 business days. Parcels are dispatched from our warehouse in the European Union, so delivery takes 5–10 days. The table by country is on the shipping and delivery page.
How much is shipping?
€5.00 per order, regardless of how many pieces you buy or which country you are in, and free for orders over €50.00.
I ordered several pieces — do they arrive together?
We process them at the same time, but they may arrive in separate parcels, usually a day or two apart. Shipping is charged only once per order, and you receive a tracking number for each parcel.
Who packs and ships the parcel?
Packing and dispatch are handled by our partner warehouse in the European Union. Your contract is with us alone — send every refund request, exchange or complaint to us and we deal with it.
Can I track my parcel?
Yes, we email the tracking number as soon as the carrier collects the parcel.
What if the parcel does not arrive?
If it is more than 10 days late against the upper end of the estimate in the table, we open an investigation with the carrier. If the parcel cannot be found, we send a new one or refund the full amount — your choice, at our expense.
Refunds and guarantee
How does the money-back guarantee work?
You have 30 days from delivery to ask for a refund, with a single email. We start the refund within 3 business days, to the same payment method. You do not send the item back — you keep the bracelet. Details: guarantee terms.
Who pays the return postage?
Nobody — there is no return postage. For an item at this price, sending it back would cost almost as much as the item, so we do not make refunds conditional on the return of the goods. You keep the item.
Do I have to explain why I am returning it?
No. It is enough to send a withdrawal statement with your order number.
When does the money reach my account?
We start the refund within 3 business days of your request, and in any case within 14 days of receiving your statement. Your bank may take a further 3–10 business days to post it, which is outside our control.
Privacy
What data do you collect?
Your name, address, email address and phone number — solely so that we can deliver your order and provide support. The details are in our privacy policy.
How do you publish reviews?
A review you send is not published immediately — we read it first and check that it comes from someone who actually bought the product. We publish the name you entered and the photo if you attached one, on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We do not write reviews ourselves, we do not invent ratings, and we do not delete a review for being negative. The details are in our privacy policy.
Do you sell my data?
No. We share data only with the delivery company and the payment processor, and only as far as it is necessary to fulfil your order.
How do I delete my data?
Send a request to contact@bistero.com. We delete everything we are not required to keep under tax rules, within 30 days.
